ABOUT US

Who We Are

The Foundation for Exceptional Warriors, established in 2012, is a national organization devoted to honoring our nation's heroes. We offer cost-free, transformative adventures to warriors wounded in combat, decorated for valor, members of Special Operation Forces, and former POWs—regardless of the era or conflict in which they served.

Our Mission

Our mission goes beyond mere recreation. Through carefully crafted events, we celebrate these warriors' sacrifices, broaden their perspectives, dismantle obstacles, and foster meaningful peer-to-peer connections. These experiences provide vital decompression, and in some cases, we've had the privilege of reuniting brothers- and sisters-in-arms who once fought side by side.

We are The FEW, supporting the few.

Our Impact

In the past year alone, we empowered over 435 Exceptional Warriors with thrilling pursuits like fishing, hunting, skydiving, and cherished family outings, alongside a host of other adventures.

Beyond Charity

We don’t do “charity”. These exceptional individuals have earned honors far greater than we could ever repay. Our role is to deliver experiences that reflect their worth.

Our Team

Our volunteer force is a brotherhood of Exceptional Warriors hailing from diverse branches and backgrounds. They know firsthand that the struggle is real, which is why we ensure a seasoned Associate accompanies every event. Complementing this core are our fiercely dedicated non-military volunteers—indispensable to our success—and our deep, collaborative ties with businesses and organizations nationwide. Together, we stand united in service to those who’ve given so much.

Suicide rates among veterans is reported by the VA at 22 each day and continues to increase.  A post deployment risk factor is not having the camaraderie of the brotherhood; being thrown back into “normal” life with daily struggles and demands, but now with triggers and those around having the same expectations pre-deployment and naive misunderstanding of consequential newly developed coping behaviors. The FEW understands that coming together around a campfire cannot be underestimated—no judgements—no pre-conceived expectations—and is a huge necessity for our Exceptional Warriors.

George Washington once said, "A nation is judged by how well it treats its Veterans."
